As such, no modern slavery, child labour, or human trafficking will knowingly be permitted, supported, or endorsed through our business or supply chain at any given time. Our policy is to act ethically and with integrity in all our operations and business relationships.
We have undertaken steps to ensure modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chain.
All of The Usual’s employees are required to comply with The Usual’s values, which define desired attitudes and provide guidance on appropriate behaviour. Additionally, all our employees are required to take part in a training against sex-trafficking in hotels.
We expect our suppliers to commit to the fundamental principles underlying The Usual’s values and to act in accordance with them.
We have set up a clear Code of Conduct for all our suppliers that sets out our expectations for suppliers and contractors. This code emphasizes the prohibition of modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking. This Code of Conduct outlines their assurance that no modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking is taking place anywhere in our supply chains. Our Supplier Agreement Contract reinforces this commitment.
We are working towards developing control systems to ensure that we verify our supplier’s compliance with this commitment.
We encourage all employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking. Employees are encouraged to raise concerns first with their hotel manager. Concerns can also be raised confidentially and anonymously with The Usual’s confidential advisor or can be directly addressed with the respective manager. Any employee, supplier, or stakeholder that raises concerns of misconduct in good faith will not suffer any detriment as a consequence of their report.
We are focused on further developing our approach to human rights, including mandating trainings in hotels and combating child labour and modern slavery. We will regularly review our policies, procedures, and practices to identify areas of enhancement and implement changes if necessary. This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect our ongoing commitment to eradicating modern slavery, child labour, and human trafficking.
